SAYS IT ALL
Therefore, confess your sins to each other
and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
"God speaks to you through friends and family, particularly if they are believers. We all have blind spots. You have things in your life you're never going to see that need to be corrected, so God puts people around you to tell you the truth." - March 7th

MEN SERVING TOGETHER
Purpose #1: LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART
Pastor Rick: “The word that describes this purpose is WORSHIP. How do we love God with all our heart? By worshipping him! It doesn’t matter if we are by ourselves, with a small group, or with 100,000 people. When we express our love to God, we’re worshipping.”
Purpose #2: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
Pastor Rick: “The word we use to describe this process is MINISTRY. The church exists to minister to people. Ministry is demonstrating God’s love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus. Each time you reach out in love to another you are ministering to them.”
Purpose #3:GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
Pastor Rick: “This purpose we call EVANGELISM. The church exists to communicate God’s Word. We are ambassadors for Christ, and our commission is to evangelize the world… [discusses the Great Commission]…Growth is not optional; it is commanded by Jesus. We should not seek church growth for its own benefit, but because God wants people saved.”
Purpose #4: BECOME PART OF GOD’S FAMILY
Pastor Rick: “…a part of the command to ‘make disciples’… I believe it symbolizes one of the purposes of the church: FELLOWSHIP – identification with the body of Christ. As Christians, we are called to belong, not just believe… It not only symbolizes our new life in Christ, it visualizes a person’s incorporation into the body of Christ.
Purpose #5: TEACH THEM TO LEARN HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE
Pastor Rick: “The word we commonly use to refer to this purpose is DISCIPLESHIP. The church exists to edify or educate, God’s people. Discipleship is the process of helping people become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions… It is the church’s responsibility to develop people to spiritual maturity…”
Men's Group Leader
"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

"Welcome To The H.O.G.s"
(Handymen of God)
Men's Small Group & Bible Study
WHAT KINDS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS DO WE PERFORM?
What are the H.O.G.s?
H.O.G. is short for “Handymen of God”. We are businessmen, realtors, teachers, mechanics and doctors; men who love the Lord. We are not “professional” handymen, but enjoy using our God-given abilities to help others for God’s glory.
We are a group of men who are married, single, divorced and widowed. We welcome men of all ages from our campus and in the community to be more Christ-like.
We know one thing for sure -- God will use the heart and life of anyone who chooses to make himself available to Him. The Bible says, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
This is the great commission spoken by Jesus Himself. In other words, Jesus Christ is commissioning His followers to go into the entire world and reproduce believers. This is a calling that we humbly accept as Handymen of God.
We meet each week at 6:30 pm on Wednesday (usually) evenings in Fullerton.
While we have many men as part of our group, we usually have 10-16 brothers who join us each week. As a Men’s Small Group we select studies that best fit the current needs of our men overall. We do this by rotating between three types of studies: 1. Reading a Book of the Bible, 2. Doing a 4-8 week DVD Christian Study based on a popular topic/author or, 3. Read a Christian Men’s book together and discuss what we read each week.
Between each study, we believe it’s time to celebrate what God has taught us together. Sometimes we do this by going out and breaking some bread together. Other times we hear about someone in our community who needs a little help. This could be a single mom or an elderly couple.
We call ourselves “Handymen of God” because we pull together for these people to clean up a backyard, paint a room or two, organize a garage or even help someone move (nothing heavy). We do this for people who attend our church campus that just need a little TLC (tender loving care).
Can a Men's Small Group challenge a man to grow deeper spiritually, mentally and emotionally? The answer to this question is a resounding YES!
If our Men’s Small Group sounds like brothers you would like to share life with, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you very much for inquiring about our Saddleback Yorba Linda Men’s Small Group. You might be thinking, why join a men’s group: 4 reasons: 1. Want to discover your greater purpose? 2. A process to grow your faith? 3. Seeking like-minded men? or 4. Looking for mentorship?
If this is you, we have put together this webpage to show you who we are and how other men just like yourself, are becoming men of God every day.
"And let us consider how we may spur one
another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither - whatever they do prospers."
Class 101 is designed to help you understand the foundation of Saddleback Church and what we believe. You’ll also learn ways to get connected to our church family.

you different steps you can take to mature and grow as a Christian.
Class 301 is designed to help you find the perfect place to serve. This is done by helping you discover your spiritual gifts.
Class 401 is designed to equip you to start making an impact on a personal, local and global scale.
